'Untitled' - Tabby Tiger

"A tabby tiger was quite content lazing about in the steamy swelter of a typical tropic afternoon when she spied a faint shimmer from the corner of one eye. Stetching out on her belly, she reached out into the sun dappled growth and produced a small wet insect on the tip of one fearsome talon. Curiosity held her catptive as the tiny shrivelled form dried and spread out its glorious jeweled wings. Then, just as the covetous tigress thought to close her paws around the little gem and keep her newly found treasure forever... it bore itself aloft and fluttered high into the sun-drenched canopy. She watched it go with a soft sigh, accepting the fact that some of be most beautiful moments in life are often also the most brief."

This is a piece I'm still working on, but I wanted to share its progress. I have another set of it from the day I first began work. I'd say I have tied up roughly 4-5 hours in it so far, total. But the stretch of days involved has been more than that. I paint only when I feel the 'spark' because I have a bad habit of doing something wrong that I can't easily correct that ends up ruining the piece... at least it does to ME. Anywho, with any luck I'll post a cloe-up of some of the details in my scraps section, along with the older image, tomorrow. Keep an eye out for it... as well as more updates. I'm trying to get this one completed for an art show on the 29th of this month... but if it doesn't make the deadline, I won't be crying any tears of blood or nuthin.
